Spring Fever

spring2014Spring Fever =

  1. The wanting the present to become summer.
  2. Slacking off in school because the year is almost over.
  3. The wanting to be outside every day rather than inside.

(according to Urban Dictionary)

I could not agree more. Enjoy the beautiful spring day today!

Even though the first day of spring isn’t until March 20 this year, it sure does seem like spring is upon us here in Austin. It’s definitely the time to be prepared for a sudden change in weather. In Texas it can be beautiful one moment and cold and rainy the next. Don’t trust your iphone weather app!

My advice for transitioning to spring: always layer. It’s often cold in the morning and warm in the afternoon so layers are your best friend during the spring season. In terms of trends this year, go for bright color, floral patterns and statement blazers. Mix patterns to your heart’s content and keep these spring wardrobe essentials on hand.

Enjoy the beautiful weather!
