Spring Fever

spring2014Spring Fever =

  1. The wanting the present to become summer.
  2. Slacking off in school because the year is almost over.
  3. The wanting to be outside every day rather than inside.

(according to Urban Dictionary)

I could not agree more. Enjoy the beautiful spring day today!

The Classy Cubicle

The Classy Cubicle

Today I want to share with you another blog called “The Classy Cubicle.” The author, Mary, has devoted her posts to workweek fashion.

Can you guess why I wanted to share this blog with you? Our daily college roll-out-of-bed look isn’t going to get us very far in the real world. Senior year is here and coming to a close, probably faster than most of us would like. That’s why I think this blog can be a relevant resource to you, no matter which industry of work you decide to go in to.

Mary posts classy work outfits and offers readers an opportunity to get the look with similar, affordable items. Yes, she posts great finds from Forever21 and ASOS. She even re-wears items so that if you scroll through the blog or her Pinterest page you can see how she creates different looks with the same items.

So do you feel like giving up your sorority t-shirts yet? At least we still have a couple more months to get acclimated to the real world.

Vested for Fall

fall vests 2013

1. Ambition Utility 2. Vince Camuto Denim 3. Gap Fur-Trim Puffer 4. Steve Madden Faux Fur 5. Graham & Spencer Faux Shearling, 6. J. Crew Excursion Quilted

Why vests? As we head into fall in Austin, layering becomes a necessity. It’s often cold in the morning and hot by mid-afternoon. Enter the vest. It’s the perfect option for this awkward in-between weather.

Above are some of my favorite picks for this year and a little styling inspiration. Pair one of these options from quilted to fur with a long-sleeve shirt and you will be good to go for fall!

On another note, today is the two-year anniversary of Living with Grace! Crazy huh? Thanks to everyone who has encouraged me over the past two years. Your support has kept me going and I can’t thank you enough for your kind words. It has been a fun two years and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for year number three!

Currently Loving

Vera Bradley Seashore Tote, J. Crew Chino Shorts, Sam Edelman Mirielle Sandal, The New York Regional Mormon Singles Halloween Dance Book, Juice Beauty CC Cream, Quinoa Salad

A few notes:

How cute is this Vera Bradley tote?! I walked in the store last week to get a gift for my mom and immediately fell in love with it. Perfect for summer/beach excursions!

This book was recommended to me a couple months ago and I just have to pass it along. The New York Regional Morman Singles Halloween Dance (yes, it’s a mouthful) is hilarious. The author is a Morman comedian and this book is her memoir about living in New York City and finding love. Morman or not, this book is a great read.

Apparently CC Cream is the new BB Cream. A sample of Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Repair CC Cream came in one of my birchboxes recently. It’s a good tinted moisturizer with SPF 30. I really enjoy tinted moisturizers because they are quick to apply and all the coverage I need for the day. This one is especially good at concealing compared to the Origins VitaZing that I have used for about a year. Plus, it has a great scent.

Finally, you’ve got to try this Quinoa Salad via A Touch of Zest. I made it last weekend and it was a hit. I’m definitely going to start experimenting with quinoa more! Try this salad. It’s delicious and beautiful with all of the fresh vegetables!

Ready for Summer

summer 2013

Zara Printed Tunic, Topshop Navy Scallop Edge Bikini, Ray-Ban Aviator Sunglasses, Vera Bradley Beach Towel in Sun Valley,  Lord & Taylor Striped Large Bucket Tote Bag, Jack Rogers Vachetta Sandals

School is over, summer is here, and I couldn’t be happier!

Sorry it’s been a while… The past couple of weeks have been very busy but I’m excited to start blogging more this summer. I hope to post more pictures and finally get around to updating the look of my blog. Stay tuned to see what the summer has in store for me. I will be getting ready for a trip to China soon but for now I’m just looking forward to lots of poolside weekends. I bought my first floppy hat from Anthropologie this week so I’m ready for the sun. Happy Friday!
